Description

Death and dying has always been a big mystery that goes beyond our usual way of thinking and usual daily experiences.

While offering support to a dying person, spiritual needs are one of the 4 Fundamental Needs that need to be taken into consideration, in the same way that we need to reflect on our own mortality. (the other 3 Fundamental Needs are physical, emotional and social)

As death is coming near it becomes painfully evident if we have paid thought, become familiar and integrated this fundamental aspect of human existence into our lives or not.

 What to expect

This retreat will recognize and explore the basis of our own spirituality, with the purpose to bring this universal human dimension nearer to our own experience and understanding, generating in this way the aspiration to consciously cultivate it.

To inspire and guide us, we will use the tools of Universal Education.

Universal Education. is a system of inner learning allowing people to break through their self-limiting beliefs, step outside their destructive patterns, build better relationships, and ultimately develop their own innate capacity to be wise and compassionate.
During the session breaks we will keep silence..

 Who is it for?

This retreat is suitable for people of all faiths and cultural traditions who wish to explore the topic of death and impermanence and want to find ways to deal with it in a creative and positive manner.

“Death in itself is not terrifying,
It is our mind that makes it such.
It is us that make death a fearful experience.”
— Lama Zopa Rinpoche ( FDCW honorary president)
