Intro talk : Finding your Happy, an introduction to the 16 Guidelines in Stockholm // CANCELLED
Start: 3 May 2019 at 7pm
End: 3 May 2019 at 8.30 pm
Location: Yeshe Norbu Mind Training Center, 62, Roslagsgatan, 113 54 Stockholm, Sweden,
Facilitator(s): Wendy Ridley. The workshop will be delivered in English.
In this public talk, Wendy Ridley will introduce the concept of “universal education” and Four Wisdom Themes of the 16 Guidelines: how we think, how we act, how we relate to others, and how we find meaning. If you are interested in how to cultivate inner qualities like gratitude, kindness, courage, and know why they are important for our well-being, this talk is for you!
Universal education is a new as well as an ancient concept in education. It’s new because it challenges our existing educational structures, and ancient, because it embraces the wisdom of unity and wholeness that is the foundation of humanity’s great religions and philosophies. For one who would teach it, such an approach necessitates a knowledge of oneself and of one’s inner workings and, consequently, develops in the individual peaceful and harmonious qualities, tolerance and gentleness toward others and positive character traits that help one face the difficulties in life with courage, responsibility and compassion.
It is also a perfect introduction to the 16 Guidelines for Life, level 1 workshop happening on May 4-5!
This introduction talk is free for those who subscribe to the weekend workshop.
About the Facilitator: Wendy has over 30 years experience working in education – as a teacher, university lecturer, education department advisor, and education consultant. This has provided her with skills and passion to develop, deliver and oversee training programmes. Wendy is influenced by studying and practicing meditation with various well-respected teachers. After meeting Lama Yeshe she was inspired by his vision of Universal Education. Wendy is on the Board of FDCW, is a Senior 16G Facilitator and has done many retreats.
